In God We Trust OK Not God is Great?

Well well well. This is hard to understand - from the AP, through the Chicago Tribune, on the redesign of the Iraq flag.

Redesigned flag drops symbols of Hussein era

New Iraqi flag

"Iraq's U.S.-picked leaders have approved a new flag for the country, dumping Saddam Hussein's red-and-black standard. The new design is white with two blue stripes, and although it has a crescent representing Islam, the flag no longer bears the words "God is great."

Oooooohhhhh, NOW I get it. They mean "God" but we mean "God". I knew there was something I was not getting.

March for Women's Lives: Largest, EVER

Although the conventional mainstream (corporate-owned) largely ignored the March for Women's Lives held yesterday in Washington, it appears that this event was the largest march EVER in Washington, D.C. Sunday I could find some stories on network TV, some comment in NPR radio broadcasting, but little online or in print media. Tonight I saw that Fox news anchor Hannety-something-or-other smirking at a few clips of the speakers and the crowd. When the president of NOW came on in split-screen for an "interview", he asked her first, "Why are they always so ANGRY?" Same smirk. What a disgusting display of chauvinism combined with conservative right wing political background in a "news anchor". Tell me if you don't think that this is another version of women as "bitches"!

On a positive note, it was great to hear Ashley Judd screaming out to the White House "Tell 1600 Avenue and President Bush GET YOUR LAWS OFF OUR BODIES!"

March for Women's Lives banners, parade front

Comments from Kelpie Wilson from the Truthout site:

"Carol Mosely Brown just told us that we have made history today. This is the biggest march ever in DC."
Close-up of women's banners

"One of the most exciting things about the march is the emphasis on total choice - not just access to contraceptives and abortion. Speaker after speaker is saying we must have reproductive justice. We must end poverty because women who have no economic opportunities have no choice. It's incredible here, people as far as eye can see and so many young people, women and men. We are the future."
April 25, Largest march in Washington D.C. in history! March for Women's Lives

"Cameron Mannheim: “I hope John Ashcroft is listening because YOU are a direct threat to his vision of America. And Bush, you better beware. When women vote, Democrats win!”
“Women's :Health, Not Corporate Wealth.”

“Not the Church, not the State. Women should decide their fate.”

And what have we here? Bellydancers for Peace and Justice.fabulous! They are singing:
“1,2,3,4-patriarchy's at the door. 4,5,6,8- stop the patriarchal state.”

Need a Little Stylesheet Code Help

Is there any antville user that can help me to fix an odd problem with the blog that just turned up a few days ago without my change in the skin editor?

Formerly the right sidebar always appeared directly under the masthead dot image that spanned the webpage. Now, there is a large gap and readers must scroll horizontally to see the sidebar.

This is the correct view below:
Portion of Resource.full web page seen correctly.
And this is the present view, wrong:
Part of the Resource.full webpage with sidebar moved way to right - this is wrong.

I've been into the skin editors and looked at the code in Main Page, Stylesheet, and Navigation and can't find the discrepancy. If I click on an older story from mid-April, the blog returns to it's usual layout. Below I will show some code that may need a change:

.formTitle { width:380px;
font-family: [Macro not allowed in sandbox: layout.textfont] ;
font-size: [Macro not allowed in sandbox: layout.titlesize] ;
font-weight:bold;
}

.formText { width:380px;
font-family: [Macro not allowed in sandbox: layout.textfont] ;
font-size: [Macro not allowed in sandbox: layout.textsize] ;
font-weight:normal;
}

.formWide { width:660px;
font-family: [Macro not allowed in sandbox: layout.textfont] ;
font-size: [Macro not allowed in sandbox: layout.textsize] ;
font-weight:normal;

This is some other code in the main page skin that may affect this difference in the blog since mid-April. This code snip below is the code I copied from April 15 from the main skin. On April 15, the blog looked just as always and that's what I want to return to. Note that I have removed the opening and closing html tags on each element and changed the > and the < to be x to make it appear in this page for you to see.

xspan class="message"xx/spanx
xbrxxdiv class="pagelink"x... xa href="http://Resourcefull.antville.org/"xnewerx/ax
xtable width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"x
xtrx
xtd style="background-image: url(http://www.antville.org/img/dot.gif);" nowrap="nowrap"xpixel

Any comments will be most appreciated and thank you!
